Temperatures each night this weekend dropped into the teens and 20s, which is low enough for snowmaking. In the absence of much natural snow, at least temperatures are chilly and the sun angle is low, which allows the snow on the ground to stick around.

The weather this week will be dry and mostly sunny with high temperatures in the 30s and lows in the teens and 20s. This should make for comfortable ski conditions during the day and allow crews to continue to make snow at night. There is a small chance that we could see light snow on Thursday. If future model runs continue to show this, I'll talk more about it in my post on Tuesday.

The next chance for more significant snow will be between December 16-18 as two storms clip Colorado's northern mountains. It's possible that Steamboat will see significant accumulations as it sits in far northern Colorado, but it's also possible that we'll only see a little bit or no snow if the storms stay too far to the north. I am hoping for the best and will keep you posted with daily updates!
