Deep powder at Vagabond Ranch (northern CO)

There are some experiences that will stick in your head for a while. Filming at Vagabond Ranch on March 2nd was one of those days. Blue skies, 12-18" of fresh snow, an amazing group of folks, and hundreds of thousands of dollars of camera gear whizzing through the air. Huh? Yeah. CondorCam was there. Think of the camera that is buzzing around overhead during NFL games. Now think of that same camera on something like a zip line, going up/down/left/right and following the action. So cool!

Here are two very short (less than one minute) videos we took in the trees at a lower elevation near Vagabond Ranch featuring Jeremy Mercier in the first movie and myself in the second. The videos were shot with an EPIC camera, which can record twice the resolution of HD at 300 frames per second. If you don't know what I just said, just think of the most amazing video camera ever, and this is it. And then check out some behind-the-scenes pictures below, including a short video of how the skiing looks at a higher elevation (hint: it's even more delicious).

The entire area of Vagabond Ranch is amazing, with hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails and untouched wilderness with unlimited fresh powder. We were outside from 9am to 6pm, and the entire experience was amazing. I could only get up there for a day, but think of how amazing it would be for a weekend while staying at one of their huts, enjoying the hut tub, yeah...
