Monday-Tuesday Storm

Summary

A return of snow is forecast to begin the work week. This storm will not be as productive as what we saw last week.

Short Term Forecast

An area of low pressure slides down the Southern California coast through the day Monday and winds up off of Tijuana on Monday night. 

Snowfall appears light through the day Monday, picking up Monday night into Tuesday morning as the low opens and moves inland. The system looks to sheer apart and dive south through the day Tuesday which is not a great scenario.

Tuesday should be the best chance for a a powder day of the event, with 4-8" down, winds don't look overly worrisome. Light snow showers continue through the day.

Below graphic is GFS storm total snowfall. The EURO generates almost twice this amount, but is the outlier of the model suites.

Snow shifts into the Whites Tuesday late afternoon into pre sunrise Wednesday, snowfall amounts look meager. 

Extended Forecast

Mild and gradually warmer weather then follows for the latter half of the week. Models are showing optimism storm chances next week.
