Update

We received an additional 2 inches on Monday night thanks to enough wrap-around energy as the storm made its final push out of Colorado. This brought our storm total to 5 inches from Sunday through Monday night, which is right in line with our final forecast of 3-6 inches.

We'll now return to dry conditions through Friday, with milder temps returning as we head into the second half of the week. Expect daytime highs in the teens on Tuesday, the 20s on Wednesday, and into the upper 20s to low 30s for Thursday and Friday.

Following the mild and dry week, chances for snow will return on Friday night and into Saturday as a very weak system passes over Colorado. We'll go with an initial forecast of 1-4 inches by Sunday morning. This will then be followed by an uptick in moisture and storminess from the southwest on Sunday and into early next week. This will likely favor areas to our south for the best accumulations but another light refresh should be in-store for us.

Looking further ahead, the middle of next week will be mild and dry before our full attention shifts to the following weekend, March 16th through the 18th. All longer-range models are kicking open the storm door for the West Coast for the second half of March so we'll see what this means for Breckenridge over the next week.

Thanks for reading and look for my next update on Thursday morning!
