Update
Nothing new to report on Friday morning as we await the main event through Friday afternoon. Temperatures are currently in the upper 20s to low 30s on the mountain but they will cool off (slightly) by midday.
A relatively weak cold front will swing through Breckenridge after 9 am and bring us a good shot of moderate to heavy snow. Our primary wind direction will shift to blow from the southwest to the west-southwest by midday and this can be sneaky good for us.
In total, we'll continue to go with 4-8 inches through Friday evening, with soft and surfy turns on Friday afternoon and again on Saturday morning.
Dry conditions and sunny skies prevail for the weekend. Daytime highs will rise into the upper 30s on the mountain so dress light and lather on plenty of
Our next chance for snow will then arrive on Sunday night and into Monday as a slow-moving system drops to the west and southwest of Colorado. This type of setup does NOT favor Breckenridge for the goods but we should still be looking at a light refresh through Tuesday. There is also a slight chance for another quick-moving system around next Wednesday and Thursday but confidence is very low at this point.
Looking further ahead, dry weather takes control by late next week and into the first week of April. The longer-range models are trying to introduce something after April 5th but as we all know, this is fantasy land when looking at snow forecasts.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned!
