Update

The mountain is reporting 3 inches on Monday morning, which is right in line with my final forecast of 1-4 inches. Temperatures are currently hovering below 0F on the mountain so bundle up!

Partly to mostly sunny skies and very cold temperatures will be the story through Monday as temps only top out in the single-digits to low teens.

Following another cold period on Monday night, dry conditions and temps in the 20s will return on Tuesday. Daytime highs in the upper 20s to low 30s will then continue through at least the first half of Thanksgiving week. There will be a slight chance for a weak storm on Saturday, November 17th but this looks like it will favor areas east of the divide.

Looking further ahead, our full attention will shift to the weekend following Thanksgiving as the longer-range models continue to favor storminess across the western US. We have plenty of time to watch and work out the details but it's great to see growing confidence in this scenario.

Thanks for reading and look for my next update on Tuesday, November 13th.
