Major Storm Ends– Dry and Cold into the Weekend

Summary

The new season roared in with a fresh basecoat of 70+ cm of wet snow across the alpine at Sunshine and Louise since Saturday. A return to the mundane is in store for the next 5 to 7 days unfortunately as weak systems fail to make it over the Divide. A possible exception will be at Marmot, which could catch some light accumulations over the weekend. Marmot opens Thursday!
