Powerful Storm Wednesday/Thursday

Summary

Periods of light snow Monday and Tuesday. A powerful storm ramps up Tuesday night into Wednesday, with very heavy snow from Vail through Denver midday Wednesday through Thursday morning. Dry weather settles in from Friday, March 15th through around March 21st. Snow tires and AWD/4WD are recommended if you're traveling along the I-70 mountain corridor from Tuesday night through Thursday. Keep a close eye on CDOT for the latest travel alerts due to accidents and more avalanche mitigation work on Wednesday, Thursday, and into Friday.
