Complex Winter Storm Starts Friday

Summary

A deep Pacific trough encroaches into NW Montana on Fri, then spreads through the state Fri PM into Sat. This trough will draw a moist SW flow aimed at Western Montana, where heavy snow will fall. On Sun/Sun PM, an Arctic front meets this SW flow. Significant snowfall could result where these two features clash, but uncertainties remain on the tracking and timing of both of these features.
