Steamboat Daily Snow

Snow on Friday and Friday night at Steamboat
Summary
Thursday was soft and powdery, and additional snow will continue through Friday night.
Short Term Forecast
Thursday was a powder morning and we did see light snow showers throughout the day with just about an inch of accumulation.
On Thursday night, snowfall ramped up as we expected with overnight totals of 3 inches at mid-mountain and 9 inches at the summit.
Now on Friday, the snow will continue throughout the day, it will last through late Friday night, and then snow will wind down by Saturday at sunrise. During this time on Friday and Friday night, we’ll likely measure 1-2 feet of accumulation and the powder on Friday and also Saturday morning should be fun.
On Saturday, we’ll likely see a break in the snow, though on Saturday night another round of snow showers could return with another few inches of accumulation.
On Sunday, we will end the weekend with a mix of sunshine and snow showers and very soft conditions thanks to the consistent snowfall from the previous 3-4 days.
Extended Forecast
There will be two chances for snow during the week and weekend of February 8-14.
The first chance for snow will be between Tuesday and Thursday, February 9-11.
The second chance for snow will be between Friday and Sunday, February 12-14.
That’s as many details as I can offer right now and we’ll dial in this nebulous forecast over the next few days.
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
