Steamboat Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

Welcome to the 2021-2022 Season

Opening Day is scheduled for Saturday, November 27. The good news (now on Saturday, November 20) is that it's snowing!

We haven't seen much snow early this season, but that is changing today, Saturday, November 20, as we are one week away from the delayed opening day which is now scheduled for Saturday, November 27.

The summit snow stake cam on the morning of the 20th shows 2 inches of snow has accumulated. It's good to see snow back on the cam!

On Saturday, we'll see another 2-5 inches as snow showers move across northern Colorado from west to east.

On Sunday and Monday, look forward to sunny skies. High temperatures will be in the 20s on Sunday and the 30s on Monday.

Tuesday will likely stay dry, then the next storm should bring some snow from Tuesday night through Wednesday. This storm will move through Colorado in pieces and the forecast is still uncertain. If things don't line up, we could see little or no snow. If all factors align, we could see 3-6+ inches. Regardless of the snow, temperatures should drop into the teens or even single digits, which should help snowmaking crews fire up the snow guns.

Following a dry Thanksgiving day, we might see light snow showers from November 26-28. Then there will be a chance for a stronger storm around Friday, December 3, plus or minus a day or two.

Thanks for reading and please check back each morning for daily updates!
