Light snow Saturday night, deeper snow on Tuesday

Summary

Saturday will be dry and sunny, then a fast-moving storm on Saturday night will deliver a few inches of snow.

Update

Friday's weather was sunny and warm with a high temperature in the 30s.

Now on Saturday, we'll enjoy another mostly sunny day with a high temperature of around 30 degrees.

On Saturday night, a fast-moving storm with decent moisture will move from northwest to southeast across Colorado. Most forecast models show 2-4 inches of accumulation, though a few give the possibility for up to 5 inches. Since this snow will fall between Saturday sunset and Sunday sunrise, all of the snow will be fresh to enjoy on Sunday morning. It'll be a nice way to end the holiday break.

Looking ahead to next week, Monday will be sunny with a high temperature of 20-25 degrees, then a stronger storm will bring snow from Monday night through Tuesday. There is a pretty high chance that Tuesday will be a powder day with 6+ inches of new snow, but I'm not yet feeling super confident about snow totals or the timing of the snow. I hope to refine the forecast during the next day or so.

Following Tuesday's storm, Wednesday morning will be very cold with a low temperature of about zero degrees, then Wednesday should be sunny and eventually warm up with a temperature of around 20 degrees.

For early December, there is a high chance that we will see one or two storms between December 1-6, however, I have near zero confidence about the track of these systems, so it's too soon to speculate about snow amounts and the timing of any potential powder days. If we can get lucky with significant snow from one or two storms, it should help the mountain open up a nice chunk of additional terrain.
