Snow Friday morning and Sunday night
Summary
We could see some flakes on Friday, then the weather will be dry on Saturday, and snow will return later on Sunday.
Update
Thursday was a mixed day with a few flakes and some breaks of sunshine. Most of the snow across Colorado fell in the far southern part of the state.
On Thursday night, a few snow showers made it farther north into Colorado and we saw 1 inch of accumulation at mid-mountain.
Now on Friday morning, the final piece of energy from this week's southern storm system will track across Colorado and we should see snow showers with perhaps a little bit of snow accumulation through Friday midday. After that, Friday afternoon and Friday night should be dry.
On Saturday, I expect dry weather, partly sunny skies, and a comfortable high temperature of about 30°F.
Then on Sunday, the first half of the day should be dry, then the next storm will bring snow from Sunday afternoon through Monday morning. We might see a little snow accumulation by the end of the day on Sunday, and the most snow could fall on Sunday night into Monday morning with 5-10 inches of accumulation. Keep your eye on Monday morning for a chance of softer turns thanks to this new snow.
Looking at the rest of next week, the main story is that 'it will snow' though I still have low confidence in the details. I will keep a close watch on the forecast during the middle of next week (roughly February 28 - March 2) as this could be a time that we'll see more powder.
