Warm on Saturday, snow on Sunday

Summary

Saturday will be warm and mostly dry, and then snow will fall through the afternoon and evening on Sunday.

Update

Friday

Friday offered some powder during the day, and temperatures were warm, so the best conditions were at the higher elevations.

Saturday

On Friday night, 1-2 inches of snow accumulated, so there will be a little fresh snow now on Saturday morning. Otherwise, Saturday will be mostly dry, mostly cloudy, and warm with a high temperature in the 30s.

Sunday

The next round of snow will fall between Sunday midday and Sunday at midnight. This snowfall is looking less impressive on the latest forecasts, so perhaps we'll only see 2-5 inches of new snow. Due to warm temperatures in the 30s, the base area may see rain on Sunday afternoon before cooler air arrives on Sunday evening.

Monday

Monday's weather will be mixed with some sunshine and some afternoon and evening snow showers. Snowfall could be just a dusting to an inch or two. The high temperature will be in the 20s.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

The rest of next week will be dry, mostly sunny, and warm with a high in the 30s on Tuesday and in the 40s on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. It'll be full-on spring riding conditions.

Longer Range

Our next chances for snow will be during the weekend of April 6-7 and again during the middle of the next week around Wednesday, April 10 to Friday, April 12. Both storms could bring only light-to-moderate snowfall with totals maybe not quite reaching "powder" status.

My next update will be Sunday morning.
