Cloudy on Wednesday, then sunny through the weekend

Summary

Light snow fell on Tuesday night, and clouds and snow showers will continue on Wednesday. Then Thursday through Sunday will be sunny and warm, and next week will transition to cooler and snowier weather.

Update

Tuesday

Tuesday was mostly sunny and warm with a high temperature in the 30s. Clouds increased later in the day ahead of Tuesday night's storm.

Tuesday Night

On Tuesday night, snow showers delivered a half inch of accumulation at mid-mountain and about 1 inch at the summit. This new snow could ride nicely on top of any runs groomed early on Tuesday night.

Wednesday

Wednesday's weather will be mostly cloudy with snow showers and a high temperature in the upper 20s to low 30s.

This lingering moisture is due to a storm tracking just to the northeast of Colorado.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Thursday through Sunday will be sunny and warm with afternoon high temperatures in the 40s. Snow conditions will be typical of spring - crunchy in the morning, soft during the late morning and midday, and slushy later in the afternoon.

Stormy Next Week

From Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19, we will have multiple chances for snow along with colder temperatures. The first storm could arrive early in the week, with a second, colder storm later in the week. While the storms are too far away for us to talk about the details of the forecast, there is a chance that there will be a powder day (or two), especially during the middle or end of the week. Stay tuned.

My next update will be Thursday morning.
