Warm for now, then snow on Tuesday morning

Summary

Sunday will be warm and sunny, Monday will be somewhat warm with increasing clouds, and then we'll see snow on Monday night through Tuesday midday.

Update

Saturday

Saturday was sunny and warm with a high temperature in the 40s and 50s. It was classic spring skiing with soft snow around late morning, then slushy snow during the afternoon.

Sunday

On Saturday night, temperatures again did not drop to freezing. This means that Sunday morning's conditions will not be that crunchy as the snow generally did not freeze.

The weather on Sunday will be like Saturday with sunny skies and warm high temperatures reaching the 40s and 50s.

Snow Monday & Tuesday

Monday will start dry and sunny, then clouds will increase later in the day and we'll see snow from Monday evening through Tuesday morning or midday.

This storm will be cold enough for snow to fall across the mountain on Monday night, and based on the average of many forecast models, I think 5-10 inches of accumulation is still a reasonable forecast.

Some of the snow will fall by Tuesday morning's 500 am report, and more snow will fall between 500 am and midday, so conditions could be deeper than what you see on the report.

Also, we'll need at least 10 inches of snow to bury the firm base, and if totals are less than 10 inches, the best conditions will be on lower-angle and recently groomed slopes.

Longer Range

For later next week through closing weekend, we will see a mix of dry weather and some snow showers. Showers are most likely on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and then I think we'll see dry and sunny weather on Sunday, April 21.

My next update will be Monday morning.
