Monday

Monday will be mostly cloudy with a few snow showers, though accumulation should be minimal during the day.

Due to the cloud cover that arrived on Sunday night, the morning temperature is warmer compared to the previous few days, and the afternoon high temperature will be cooler and stay in the 20s.

Monday Night

On Monday night, the jet stream should create a narrow band of moderate to intense snow, and this band should track close to the mountain. If it does, there will be a quick 1-4 inches of accumulation.

Tuesday

Tuesday morning could offer softer turns if we see the snowfall on Monday night. Otherwise, Tuesday will be partly sunny with a high of around 30°F.

Wednesday

On Wednesday, a storm will track over southern Colorado. This is not an ideal track, but there could still be snow showers with light accumulation on Wednesday, and the high temperature should be around 30°F.

Then on Wednesday evening, there will be a somewhat higher chance for a couple of inches of snow accumulation as the wind direction becomes more favorable.

Thursday

Thursday may start with softer turns if there is snow on Wednesday night, otherwise, Thursday should be mostly dry with mostly cloudy skies, perhaps a few snow showers, and a high temperature in the mid-20s.

Thursday Night & Friday

A fast-moving storm will deliver a shot of snow on Thursday night, with 3-6 inches possible from Thursday night through Friday morning. The conditions on Friday morning should be pretty soft, and we may see a break in the snowfall on Friday with a high temperature in the low 20s.

Friday Night & Saturday

Another fast-moving storm will deliver additional snow on Friday night. This storm should be stronger than the system on Thursday night, so more snow is possible with 4-8 inches being a real possibility. Keep an eye on this storm as it might produce enough snow for powder on Saturday morning.

Longer Range

I think a lot of the weekend (December 28-29) will be dry, and then the next chance for snow will be around Monday-Tuesday (December 30-31) with additional storms during the first 5-10 days of January.

I will continue to dial in the details of the upcoming snowfall, so stay tuned.
