Steamboat Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

The sun is shining on Sunday morning, but more clouds are on the way and light snow should fall on Steamboat through the afternoon. This light-to-moderate-snow should continue on Sunday night and Monday as well. I only put 1-3 inches in the forecast during each day and night period, but 24-36 hours of light snowfall can add up to great conditions, so don’t discount some possible powder turns on Monday.

The real fun will start on Monday night as heavy snow begins to fall, and this should continue through Tuesday afternoon or even Tuesday night. Total accumulations from Monday night through Wednesday morning should easily hit the 6-12 inch mark and may be deeper. Plan on Tuesday being a storm-skiing day with snow and wind, then gentler conditions on Wednesday with cooler temperatures and plenty of powder stashes. After a break in the snow Wednesday night and Thursday morning, more snow is possible from Christmas Eve through Saturday 12/26. Stay tuned for my next update on Monday morning!
