Steamboat Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

About 6 inches of snow fell at mid mountain after the lifts closed on Tuesday night, and the summit snow stake camera shows a few inches more than this, so Wednesday morning should be a fun powder day – get out there! We should see the snow stop for much of Wednesday, then another round of heavier snow should push through later on Wednesday afternoon and evening. I think a lot of this snow (3-6 inches) should fall after lifts close on Wednesday afternoon, which means that Thursday morning will offer additional fresh powder.

Thursday will be a dry day, then snow will fall on Thursday night through Friday. I am concerned about the wind direction (from the southwest and northeast, which is not ideal), so I am keeping snow amounts at only around 2-4 inches as I don’t want to over promise. But, if things go well, we could easily see more than this and Friday could be a nice powder day. Stay tuned!
