Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

Update

After a string of bluebird, sunny days at Steamboat, a few clouds are now wafting over Colorado as a powerful storm begins to affect the west coast. For the next three days – Friday, Saturday, and Sunday – Steamboat will see a mix of sun, clouds, and a few showers now and again, though most of the time will be dry.

On Sunday afternoon and Sunday night, a period of steadier snow should drop 2-4 inches on the mountain (or maybe up to 6 inches if we’re lucky), and this should refresh the groomers and make for soft turns on Monday morning.

Following that system, the weather on next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday should be partly sunny and dry. Then a colder and more powerful storm will bring snow to Steamboat starting on Wednesday night, and the snow flakes should continue through Friday or Saturday. It’s still a bit too early to know exact snow totals, but we could easily hit double digits from this storm, and right now it looks like the best powder days will be next Thursday and Friday.
