Steamboat Daily Snow

Update
Good news sports fans – temperatures are colder than they were last week, so nighttime snowmaking is once again a thing. Making snow for 6-12 hours each night can only do so much, so I am not expecting a lot more terrain to open, but colder temperatures are better than warmer temperatures, so we'll take it.
Steamboat's next chance for natural snowfall will occur on Sunday and Monday. Expect light snow to begin on Sunday, then a cold front will blast through on Sunday night which is when we should see the most intense snowfall. Monday morning will likely be a powder day with 4-8 inches of total snowfall.
Following this storm, we should see chilly or even cold weather from about December 5-12 with a few chances for very light snow but little chance for a significant storm (the action will stay over the eastern 2/3rds of North America). At some point in mid-to-late December, this pattern should shift and more snow will hit Steamboat. I do not know when this shift will occur, and of course I will keep you updated when I see anything of interest.
Finally, I was just featured in a 5-minute video profile, and in this video there is footage from one of my best days at Steamboat – January 12, 2008. The Steamboat footage lasts from minute 2:18 to 2:48, and here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/FLYLOWGEAR/videos/10155943511964675/
Stay tuned for daily updates, and thanks for reading!
