More snow, especially on Friday night

Summary

The midweek storm is over, and we'll see snow showers through Friday with another round of steady snow on Friday night.

Update

Wednesday was a stormy day with 5 inches at mid-mountain, and Wednesday night delivered another 2 inches. That brings the total to 7 inches at mid-mountain with about 6 inches at the snow stake at Blue Sky Basin. The snow was pretty dense due to warmer temperatures and gusty winds during the late afternoon.

Thursday should bring a mix of clouds, snow showers, and maybe some breaks of sunshine. The high temperature will be about 20°F

Thursday night & Friday could bring similar weather with a mix of clouds, snow showers, and maybe times of clear skies. There is a wave of energy that will move through on Thursday night and this might create more snow than is in the forecast, so I'll keep a close eye on the snow stake. The high temperature on Friday will be around 20°F, which is similar to Thursday.

Friday night into Saturday morning will bring a round of steady snowfall with 3-6+ inches possible by Saturday morning. This would make Saturday a low-to-moderate powder day, and the snow quality will be fluffy as Saturday's high temperature will be in the single digits.

Looking further ahead, we will likely see a few inches of snow on Sunday night into Monday, then dry weather from Monday midday to Wednesday, and then additional snow is likely between Thursday, March 30, and Sunday, April 2, with powder possible as early as Thursday.
