Update

We saw four inches of snow accumulate on Friday night, and an additional 3 inches accumulated during the day on Saturday, which made Saturday a nice little powder day! Most of this snow fell before lifts closed on Saturday afternoon, so expect mostly chopped up powder on Sunday morning.

Moving on, Sunday will be a partly sunny and dry day. Then a disorganized storm should bring more clouds and a few snow showers on Monday and Monday night. Some high-resolution models show higher snow amounts on Monday night (1-3 inches) for a narrow area along I-70. My confidence is low, but if this happens, the groomers could be soft on Tuesday morning.

The next storm cycle will hit the western US later this week and during the weekend, but the newest models are slowing the arrival of this system. Expect an initial wave of light snow on Wednesday night or Thursday, and then we’ll likely need to wait until Saturday night through Sunday night for more significant snow and colder air. My pick for the best powder days are Sunday and Monday, though stay tuned as this storm could slow even further, which could push back this forecast by a day or so.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for an update each morning!
