Winter Park Daily Snow

Update
Recap of Sunday
Light snow fell through midday Sunday with about 1 inch accumulating across the mountain. It’s been a remarkable stretch of snow on 11 of the past 12 days!
Monday
The day will start with clear skies and an inversion where the temperature at the base is colder (10F) than up on the mountain (20F). High temperatures on the hill should hit the upper 20s to low 30s by afternoon and we’ll start to see a few more clouds in the afternoon as well.
Tuesday
Expect more clouds and a chance for light snow on-and-off during the day. Accumulations should be light, just a coating to 2 inches.
Wednesday and Wednesday night
A storm will arrive on Wednesday afternoon and snow should continue through late Wednesday night. This storm will be strong, which is good, but I am keeping my expectations in check because the storm will move through quickly, have limited moisture, and the days before the storm will be drier, meaning that the snow base will be a bit on the firm side. Total snowfall should be 3-6 inches, with storm skiing (low visibility, windy) during the last runs on Wednesday and then clear skies and fresh snow underfoot on Thursday morning.
Thursday and Friday
Right now these days look dry and mostly sunny with warming temperatures in the 20s and 30s.
December 15-21
There are no significant storms that I can see at this point. Maybe we’ll see new snow, and maybe we’ll get a stronger storm, but the odds look lower.
After December 21st
This is when odds begin to increase for strong storms returning to Colorado. Also, the past two months have shown that we’re in a roughly 30-day cycle with stormier weather during the end of one month into the beginning of the next month, so it would make sense that the end of December would turn stormier.
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
