Friday was sunny and warm with high temperatures rising into the 30s and low 40s.

Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday will bring more of the same with dry weather and warm temperatures topping out in the 30s and 40s. There will be times when high, thin clouds move across Colorado and filter the sunshine. 

This springtime weather will produce typical springtime riding conditions with firm and crunchy snow in the morning and then softening and warmer snow during the late morning, midday, and afternoon. If and when thin clouds filter the sunshine, the snow-softening process during the morning could be delayed.

There is finally a bit more clarity in the longer-range forecast.

From next Tuesday night through Friday, pieces of storm energy will move across Colorado and we will see cooler temperatures with highs in the 20s, more clouds, and times of snow showers.

Then from about Saturday, March 13 to Tuesday, March 16, two stronger storms should impact Colorado and we’ll have chances for more significant snowfall. The first system around the 13th could track a little too far to the south, and the second system around the 15-16th might give us the best chance for deeper snow totals.
