Spring weekend at Winter Park, snow might return next week

Summary

Bring your sunscreen and light layers as temperatures will be warm through Monday. A change in the weather with snow and wind is possible during the middle of next week.

Short Term Forecast

Thursday was a bluebird day with warm temperatures that rose into the upper 30s to mid-40s.

Friday will also be warm with temperatures in the 40s, though there could be some cloud cover at times and this might limit the warming just a bit.

Then Saturday, Sunday, and Monday should be the warmest days of this stretch with high temperatures that will rise into the mid-to-upper 40s. Look forward to classic spring conditions with crunchy and firm snow in the morning and then soft and even slushy snow by late morning and midday.

Please remember to apply (and re-apply) sunscreen, and enjoy!

Extended Forecast

There will be two chances for stormy weather during the following week.

The first chance for stormy weather will be from Tuesday, April 6 to Thursday, April 8. This storm is most likely to produce light amounts of snow and potentially gusty winds.

The second chance for stormy weather will be from Saturday, April 10 to Sunday, April 11. This potential storm just popped up in the longer-range models, so it’s a little too soon to have much confidence in its existence but it will be something to keep an eye on.
