Tuesday Powder

Snow fell on Monday night and there is powder on Tuesday morning.

On Monday we measured 1 inch of new snow, though the most intense snow stayed north of the mountain.

On Monday night into early Tuesday morning, the intense snow shifted south and we picked up a quick 8 inches, which brings our 24-hour total to 9 inches.

On Tuesday, the band of intense snow will likely stay shift south of the mountain during the morning with an additional 1-3 inches of accumulation, then the snow should slow down or stop by late morning or midday. Enjoy the morning powder!

On Wednesday, while steady snow will fall in southern Colorado, a southwest wind is unfavorable for steady snow around here, which means that we will see anything from dry weather to scattered showers.

On Wednesday night into Thursday morning, the final part of the storm will move across Colorado, and this storm energy combined with a shift to a more favorable wind from the west should bring 2-6 inches by Thursday mid-morning. This means that there will be soft snow and maybe powder to enjoy early on Thursday.

On Friday, we'll see dry weather.

On Saturday, it's about a 50/50 chance of seeing light snow or no snow. Hopefully, we'll be able to narrow this down to one outcome or the other in the coming days.

On Sunday, most of the day should be dry, then snow may arrive late in the day or on Sunday night, with a potentially strong storm bringing snow from Monday into Tuesday. There's a chance that Monday and/or Tuesday (December 12-13) will be powder days.
