Dry weekend, storm next week

Summary

Saturday and Sunday will be sunny and warm, then snow will fall on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Update

Friday was a mostly dry day with a few flakes during the afternoon.

Now on Saturday morning, skies are mostly clear and temperatures are (once again) colder at the base and warmer up on the mountain.

For Saturday and Sunday, skies will be dry and mostly sunny, and temperatures will top out around 30 degrees each day. It'll be a lovely two days to ride.

On Monday, we'll start with dry weather, with snow arriving later in the afternoon or in the evening. Then from Monday night through Wednesday, the storm will strengthen to the east of Colorado, wrapping moisture and snow counterclockwise around the storm and over Colorado's northern mountains (where we are located).

This all means that there should be some fresh powder on Tuesday morning, and more importantly, snow will continue to fall on Tuesday, Tuesday night, Wednesday, and maybe even Wednesday night. With snow falling for ~48 hours, snow totals could be significant and snow conditions could become sneakily deep even if snowfall during any one day or night isn't that impressive. Keep your eye on Tuesday and Wednesday as potential powder days and maybe powder conditions will linger into Thursday morning as well. Total snowfall should be greater than a foot during this storm.

Looking further ahead, December 15-17 should be dry, then we might see another storm during the December 18-25 timeframe.
