A quick burst of snow on Wednesday night
Summary
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, then snow will fall on Wednesday night.
Update
Tuesday wound up being a gorgeous day on the hill with mostly sunny skies and soft snow.
Now on Wednesday morning, clouds and flurries have returned as moisture increases ahead of our next storm. Wednesday's high temperature should be in the upper teens to low 20s.
On Wednesday night, between about sunset and midnight, the latest forecast data continues to show that a strong and fast-moving storm will deliver a few hours of intense snow and gusty winds. We should see 2-5 inches of snow during this time, which could yield low-end powder amounts for Thursday morning's first chair / first run. Then on Thursday, prepare for a chilly day with mostly cloudy skies, some snow showers with tiny flakes (due to low moisture in the cold airmass), and cold temperatures that stay in the single digits.
Friday will be sunny with a high temperature in the 20s.
Saturday will be partly sunny with thin clouds filtering the sunshine and a warm high temperature in the 30s.
On Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, the dry weather will continue with high temperatures in the 20s each day, partly cloudy skies, and maybe a snow shower from storm systems that will pass to our north and our south.
Then from Wednesday into Thursday (February 15-16), a strong storm will track over Colorado and this will deliver our best chance for snow next week. We'll keep an eye out for potential power either on Wednesday during the day or maybe on Thursday morning.
