Monday morning freshies
Summary
Snow fell on Sunday night and we'll enjoy fresh snow now on Monday morning. Then we'll have two warm and sunny days before another storm arrives on Thursday.
Update
Sunday was mostly dry and chilly with temperatures in the single digits to lower teens.
Then on Sunday night, the latest storm swirled across Colorado and we picked up a quick 1 inch of snow at mid-mountain.
Now on Monday, the morning will start with the 1 inch of snow that fell on Sunday night and there could be a little more accumulation between this 5:00 a.m. report and the first chair. During the day on Monday, we'll have chilly temperatures with a high in the single digits above zero, and we could see additional snow showers at any time during the day.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the weather will be dry and warmer with daytime highs of 30-35°F. These days will feel like springtime and we will see more sunshine on Tuesday and more clouds on Wednesday.
The next storm will bring snow from Thursday midday to Friday evening. The latest forecast data shows about 2-5 inches of snow on Thursday night and additional snow on Friday. Previous forecasts indicated that the wind direction on Friday could be from a very favorable northwesterly direction, but more recent forecasts are trending toward a wind from the west, which is less favorable for an upside surprise. Still, the best powder should be during the day on Friday.
In the longer range, we should see mostly dry weather on Saturday, April 1, and Sunday, April 2. Then we might see some snow showers early the following week, with a higher chance for snow later in the week between about Wednesday, April 5, and Friday, April 7.
