Winter Park Daily Snow
By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 1 year ago April 17, 2023
Warm Monday and Tuesday, then snowy Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
Summary
The first two days of the week will feel like spring, then the final three days of the week will feel like winter.
Update
Sunday was a beautiful day with sunny skies, light winds, and an afternoon high temperature of around 40°F.
Monday will be another mostly sunny day with an even warmer high temperature rising into the low-to-mid-40s.
Tuesday will then be a transition day with more clouds, gusty winds, and slightly cooler temperatures topping out in the upper 30s.
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will feel more like winter than spring as there will be waves of snow and colder temperatures during these days. An early look at a multi-model average snow forecast is for 5-10 inches of accumulation falling in multiple waves with one wave on Wednesday and another wave from later Thursday to Friday. This might be enough to soften a few runs by Friday.
For the weekend of April 22-23, I have low confidence in the forecast, though we may wind up being in between storms with dry weather and comfortable temperatures in the 20s and 30s.
