Summary
The storm is over with a mid-mountain total of 23 inches. Coming up, we'll see dry weather for the next 1-2 weeks with cool temperatures and likely more terrain opening soon.

Thursday
On Thursday morning, the storm has ended, the skies are clearing, and the temperature will start the day in the single digits with a high in the teens.
As a recap, snow from Monday night to Wednesday afternoon totaled 23 inches, with 1 inch falling on Wednesday during the day and another (surprise) 2 inches of fluffy snow falling on Wednesday night. An almost two-foot storm over two days is a solid haul.
The Next 10+ Days
The atmosphere often balances things out, so I'm not all that surprised that a snowy start to the season (snowpack is 140% of the median) will be followed by a stretch of dry weather.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be dry and mostly sunny with a high temperature in the 20s.
Then Monday through about December 10th should mostly be dry and sunny with high temperatures in the 30s.
During these first ten days of December, the east coast of the United States will experience cold and stormy weather while Colorado will be on the western edge of the storm track. We may see a few times of clouds, flurries, and cooler temperatures if/when storms sideswipe us on their way to the east.
The good news is that we have a solid base, the low sun angle of early December will help to preserve our snowpack, and more terrain should open over the coming days and weeks.
The longer-range forecasts have decent odds of some flakes returning around December 10th (ish), and the very long-range forecasts hint that the final 10-20 days of December will have higher odds of snowfall compared to the first ten days of the month, so we've got that going for us:-)
