A warm front with precipitation begins in the PNW later this week/weekend, followed by a cold front. Precipitation spreads to inland BC and south to both the WA and OR Cascades before heading into the Rockies. As far as chasing powder, there won't be an ideal chase due to rising snow levels. The Rockies offer colder temps with many opportunities to chase light or moderate snow totals.

The dry and sunny weather pattern will continue on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Then Sunday should be mostly dry, with snow likely starting Sunday night or Monday and continuing through Tuesday. The latest forecast data shows moderate accumulations for most mountains, so a decent refresh is possible early next week.

A cold airmass will remain over the East this week with frequent snow showers for the Great Lakes and New England. A more widespread snow event is also expected later in the week.
