Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Chase Powder Daily Snow

Snow returns to the west in the 7 day forecast! 1-2 feet likely for the Cascades before moving east over the Rockies next week.

Summary

The good news is that the ridge is slowly breaking down for the west with progressively stronger systems likely next week. Most of the moisture is still being forced north into the Pacific Northwest and northern Rockies. The weekend will feature light snow for the Pacific Northwest and a moderate refresh for certain areas of the Tetons, central Idaho, and southern Montana. The Wasatch is in the cards for a tease this weekend with heavier snow likely mid week. I would chase into the Pacific Northwest early next week followed by the Rockies mid or late week.
