Update

The official snow report shows 2 inches of snow on Thursday night, plus 1 inch on Thursday, equals three inches in the 24 hours between Thursday morning and Friday morning. Not only is there new snow on Friday morning, but temperatures are more comfortable than the last few days (about 15F at mid-mountain) and clouds are clearing, so expect a wonderful morning at Copper with fresh snow, sunny skies and cool but not-too-cold temperatures. Start your weekend early!

What you'll notice on Friday afternoon is a warming trend as readings rise into the upper 20s and low 30s. This comfortable weather will continue through the weekend and all of next week when we should see lots of sunshine, dry weather, and highs in the upper 30s to 40s. I do think temperatures will be cool enough at night to allow crews to continue to make snow.

Our dry and warm weather pattern should adjust after the middle of December, and we will have the chance for our next storm on or around December 17th. After that, the rest of December does appear like it will bring a more active weather pattern, but it's a bit too soon to know if this active pattern will stay just to our north or if it will drop south and bring storms to Colorado. Stay tuned for daily updates!
