Quiet Outlook

Summary:

We will remain under warm and mostly dry conditions through the upcoming weekend. Our next shot for snow will come early to mid next week. Still looking for the big one in the extended outlook.

Short Term Forecast:

Very mild temperatures are here to stay through the upcoming weekend as the storm track continues to stay to our northwest. Mid-mountain highs will reach into the 50s on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, while overnight lows struggle to drop below freezing. The highest elevations could receive a few faint showers on Friday night but most of the action will stay well to our north and west. Mild and dry conditions will then continue through Sunday evening.

Extended Forecast:

One or two quick moving waves will be on the horizon for early to mid next week. Accumulations don't look all that impressive at this time but we'll see how they shape up over the next few days. Temperatures should also turn slightly cooler as we enter the first few days of November, which will be great for snowmaking operations.

Looking further ahead, we are still waiting for the first signs of a true winter pattern. Patience is key this time of year so stay tuned to the team here on OpenSnow as we update you on the latest information.

As always, thanks for reading and look for my next update on Friday morning.
