Daily Snow One Sentence Summary: Above average temperatures and sunny for the next two days, quick round of snow possible Friday night, chilly weekend but warming up for Presidents day.

Snow totals from yesterday/last night below, generally fell in line with yesterday's forecast:

  • Canaan Valley: 6 inches
  • Whitegrass:4 inches as of last night
  • Wisp/7 Springs: 3 inches
  • Hidden Valley/Whitetail: 2 inches
  • Assuming 1-3 for remainder of resorts (not all reporting)

Our next round of snow will move through overnight on Friday along with a cold front that will usher in drastically colder weather for the weekend. Generally, accumulations will be light and again limited by a lack of cold air at the onset of precipitation. Highlands of WV look to do the best with 4-8 inches likely by Saturday, including upslope snowfall after the front moves through and the winds pick up. Temperatures will warm up and winds will die down by Monday, making for a perfect end to the long weekend if you choose to spend the day out on the slopes.
