Update

Snow conditions

Thanks to over four feet of early-season snow, our snowpack is 130% of average and the natural snow depth is 18 inches at mid-mountain and 20 inches at the summit. What a way to start the season!

Opening Day

Lifts will begin to spin on Wednesday, November 21st! More details.

Wednesday recap

It was sunny and dry with a high around 30-40F across the mountain.

Thursday and Friday

Each day will be dry, mostly sunny, and temperatures will start each morning in the teens and warm into the mid-to-upper 30s and low 40s. Overnight lows and dry air will continue to offer conditions that are great for snowmaking.

Next chance for snow on Saturday & Sunday

It still looks like we’ll eke out some flakes from a weak storm that will brush across northern Colorado. Look for light snow later on Saturday through Sunday morning with maybe 1-3 inches. Temperatures will be about 10 degrees colder on Saturday and Sunday compared to Friday, with highs in the upper 20s to low 30s.

Thanksgiving week

We will have dry weather on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Then a more active weather pattern should move into the western US with the first storm hitting Colorado sometime between Thanksgiving Day and Monday, November 26th. I still cannot pin down any additional details, so we’ll keep the forecast broad for now and fine tune over time.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
