Steamboat Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

Look for a cold yet sunny start to the day on Thursday, with clouds increasing as the afternoon rolls around. The next storm will deliver snow to Steamboat starting late in the afternoon on Thursday. Amounts should be in the 2-4 inch range on Thursday afternoon and evening, with another 2-4 inches falling early on Friday morning. Keep an eye on the summit snow stake camera to see how much snow is stacking up and to anticipate how enjoyable first tracks will be on Friday morning. My forecast shows that 6 inches is the most likely amount of snow, but of course it could be lower or higher.

After the snow subsides on Friday morning, I think the rest of Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will offer a mixed bag of some sunshine and also some flurries or snow showers with light accumulations. Then next Tuesday through at least Saturday February 13th should be dry and sunny, with a storm likely the following week, sometime between February 14th through February 19th.
