Steamboat Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

Steamboat will see dry weather and bluebird skies through Saturday, so bring your sunscreen and enjoy the warm temperatures and soft snow during the midday and afternoon hours. Also, when we experience a period of dry weather at Steamboat during the winter, we often see a temperature inversion where readings at the base can be colder than 0F in the early morning while the temperature at mid mountain and above can be 20-30 degrees warmer. Keep this in mind as you’re dressing in the morning. Wear a few layers and perhaps bring a small pack so that you can shed extra clothes as you head up the hill.

Looking ahead, I see two potential storms during the next 10 days. The first will be a weak system from Saturday night through Monday night. Accumulations should be light, anywhere from a dusting to a few inches. The second system will be stronger and should bring at least one or two days of snow starting around Thursday February 18th or Friday February 19th. Stay tuned daily as I post a new forecast each morning!
