Steamboat Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday should be sunny and warm across the mountain. Don’t forget, though, that during calm periods like this we often experience a temperature inversion where readings at the base in the morning are 20-30 degrees colder than what you’ll find once you make it up to mid mountain and the summit.

I am searching for fresh snow in our forecast, and I see three chances for snowflakes during the next week. The first chance will be Thursday night into Friday morning as a weak storm could deliver a dusting of snow. Then a stronger system should bring snow from Saturday night through Tuesday morning, with perhaps a heavier period of snow from Sunday afternoon through midday Monday. After this, another storm of moderate strength should deliver at least a few more inches of snow next Thursday and Friday (February 18-19). Check back right here every morning for an updated forecast!
