Tuesday powder!

Summary

Monday night's storm dropped 10 inches of new snow, and it should be fun to ride/surf on Tuesday morning.

Update

Monday was dry, then Monday night's storm dropped 10 inches of new snow at mid-mountain, which met the high end of the forecast. We'll take it!

On Tuesday morning, expect some additional snow, which should end by mid-morning. Snow quality will be medium dense to pretty dense, and this will be fun to 'surf' and should do a pretty good job of covering the crunchy base. Get after the new snow early in the day as it will turn to mush as temperatures warm and if/when we see any breaks of sunshine. Temperatures will rise into the mid-30s by the afternoon.

Through Closing Day (for the Winter Park side)

Wednesday should be dry with a high of about 40°F, then on Thursday and Friday, we will see more clouds and likely showers with some snow accumulation and temperatures in the upper 30s.

For the weekend, Saturday may also bring showers with a high temperature in the upper 30s, and then Sunday should be a wonderful closing day (for the Winter Park side) with mostly sunny skies and a high temperature in the low 40s.

My next update will be Wednesday morning.
