The storm is arriving

Summary

We received 2 inches of snow on Friday night, and Saturday should bring dumpage during the day.

Update

Saturday

On Friday night, we saw about 2 inches of snow.

Now on Saturday morning, the storm is starting to crank up, and we've seen another 1-2 inches as of 9 am. We'll continue to see intense snow through Saturday mid-afternoon with 5-10+ inches of additional accumulation. There's a chance that we'll go higher than this range, and just a low chance that thunderstorms over the eastern plains of Colorado disrupt the storm's rotation enough to bring lower-than-expected snow amounts. Enjoy this late-season powder day, and the snow quality should be somewhat colder and a little less dense higher up on the mountain.

Sunday

Sunday will be a mix of sun and showers. The first runs of the morning could be in colder snow, and then the higher April sun angle will take a toll on the snow quality.

Longer Range

Monday and Tuesday should be dry, then we'll see showers from Wednesday to Friday with maybe low-end snow accumulation.

Next Update

I'll update again on Sunday morning, and while the Mary Jane side will stay open into May, my final post for the season will be on Monday, April 29.
