TGR Turns 21 With Tight Loose

You know ski season is just around the corner when ski film premieres start lighting up our eyes on the big screen. That's why I couldn't pass up the opportunity to cruise up to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort for the premiere of Teton Gravity Research's latest film Tight Loose.

And this wasn't just another film premiere, this was TGR celebrating their 21st birthday. "Tight Loose marks the beginning of a production year involving some of the most significant undertakings in our history," said TGR’s CEO, Todd Jones. "This movie is not just a huge celebration for us, it kicks off a year for the record books. Twenty was big, but you always remember your 21st birthday."

With a spotlight shining high above on JHMR's motionless tram, commonly know as Big Red, the crowd was ready to officially kick off the 21st birthday celebration.

Tight Loose was intertwined with flashbacks to previous year's films as it continued to take us on a world tour from Alaska, to India, to back home in Jackson Hole. TGR showcased unridden spine walls, massive airs, and full-throttle riding across some of the wildest and most beautiful places on earth.

And the list of athletes featured, in true TGR form, did not disappoint. They included Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, Ian McIntosh, Angel Collinson, Jeremy Jones, Griffin Post and Johnny Collinson, among many others.

The stoke was sky high after the film came to an end and we all made our way over to the Mangy Moose for the official afterparty. The London Souls took the stage as the adult beverages kept everyone smiling from ear-to-ear. This is when I was able to chat with Ian McIntosh about the film and where he simply said, "With Tight Loose, I just wanted to make something that people enjoy." Cheers to that Ian.

But the party doesn't end there. Join TGR as they continue their 21st birthday celebration with Tight Loose on tour, with showings all around the world through early December.
