I've heard countless stories from my Dad about skiing in the American West during the 1970's. Cheap lift tickets and untracked powder runs were about as easy to find as a traffic jam on I-70 eastbound on a Sunday afternoon. Even though we can't go back in time, we can watch a classic powder day from the 1973-74 ski season at Alta, Utah.
