Last Storm in Cycle Thursday Night

Summary

Well, the last storm produced big for the AZSB, and if you know you know. It was rad, on this powder Wednesday, with nearly two feet of fresh snow. One last storm to sweep through before an extended lull in storm action.

Short Term Forecast

Next storm to move in late Thursday, do not expect any snowfall through the day. This next storm is fast moving and will be much less productive than the last. That being said still a decent refresh in store. Snow should fall along the cold front through the night with roughly 4-8" by Friday first chair. The storm quickly moves out by mid-morning. The one issue Friday will be strong northerly winds which may pose wind hold issues (check before you go). Wind does diminish through the afternoon.

Sunrise also roughly 4-8", half of that falling through Friday.

Extended Forecast

Beyond Friday large high pressure builds into the West. Over the weekend a warming trend will ensue under sunny skies. The latest storm's snow will settle in nicely and make for fun days ahead. Monday there is a mainly dry cold front clipping the Four Corners that will bring a cold windy day, with a dusting possible. It appears the remainder of the month will be snowless, though conditions at Snowbowl will be wonderful.
