Light Snowfall Wednesday, then Calm & Settled

Summary

Two fronts caused wet, windy conditions Tuesday with some snow and lift holds. A weak second front brings a light dusting Wednesday. Cold nights and clear skies will help snow guns, making for good skiing and sunny slopes all week.

Short Term Forecast

Forecast for Wednesday 6th August

A mild front will bring light snow to Victoria in the morning and New South Wales later, with snow levels rising and a few centimetres settling in Victoria, while New South Wales gets only a thin dusting before conditions clear by evening.

Forecast for Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th August

Thursday will be mostly fine and chilly, with clouds lingering over Mt Baw Baw due to a light southerly breeze. Friday through Sunday will be clear and sunny with cold starts, light easterly winds, and calm conditions, perfect for outdoor activities.

Extended Forecast

A cold front will bring rain and high-level snow on Tuesday next week (11th). Possible showers will occur Wednesday (12th), while unsettled weather later in the week remains uncertain and will be updated closer to Friday or Monday.
