Transition Time: Snow likely for Sunday

Update

Friday will once again offer mostly blue skies but with a few more clouds overhead. Above average early December daytime temps will once grace the alpine slopes of Lone Mountain staying mostly right at or slightly below freezing. Saturday, clouds will steadily increase towards afternoon with a few snow showers likely by evening. A few inches are possible overnight Saturday with Sunday looking like the stormiest day in awhile with an additional 3-5” possible. Colder air filters in as Sunday progresses bringing steady snowfall into a more snow showery pattern by Sunday night. This instability may bring another 1-2” Sunday night. A NW flow will continue the colder (but seasonal) temps from Monday into mid-week with continued snow showers each day but with many sunny spells in between. The longer-term models are starting to look good for more storms toward the end of next week.
