Thursday

We picked up another 2 inches for Thursday morning's reports as the snow machine continued to deliver off-and-on light snow. This brings us up to anywhere from 5 inches over the past 5 days.

We're now catching a break in the action on Thursday as we receive partly sunny skies but temps are still lingering in the low single digits to even below 0F on the upper half of the mountain. Bundle up out there!

Friday - Saturday

Off-and-on light snow will return on Thursday night and continue into Friday. Temps should also warm up a bit as daytime highs climb back into the teens.

We'll then be tracking a stronger wave that will slide through northern Colorado from Friday evening through Saturday. As we've been discussing the past few days, we'll be right on the southern edge of the best snow potential so we'll need some luck for deeper totals. There's still potential but I'm not optimistic.

In total, look for 3-5 inches from Friday night through Saturday, with decent upside potential.

Sunday

We should catch another break in the action come Sunday. Expect mostly cloudy skies and temps in the teens. Should be a decent day to get out and enjoy the soft conditions.

Monday - Tuesday

We'll then be tracking another round of snow from Monday through Tuesday of next week. The latest model runs have the storm splitting as it moves into the Intermountain West, with energy going south and north of Colorado. I would prefer a direct hit but we should still be able to squeeze out light to moderate snowfall. Keep an eye on Tuesday morning for powder potential.

Later Next Week & Beyond

Following the storm on Monday and Tuesday, we should see dry weather prevail on Wednesday, February 1 and continue through at least Friday, February 3. Temps should also warm up nicely compared to what we've been receiving recently.

Looking further ahead, we'll be watching for two chances for snow through the first 10 days of February. The first chance will come around February 4/5 and the second will arrive around February 7/8. As always, we'll see how these shape up as we get closer.
