Summary

Good snow is falling across the Northern Columbias and Purcells this morning. Revelstoke and Kicking Horse both reported 10 cm (4”) on Friday’s snow reports, and per webcams, heavy snow has continued to fall throughout Friday morning. Heavy snow will continue to fall across northern portions of the Columbias, Selkirks, and Purcells, and also across the Lizard Range/Fernie with good powder turns expected all day, and again on Saturday. Moderate snow will continue to fall on Saturday with southern portions of the Columbias and Kootenays getting in on the action more. These areas will offer the softest skiing conditions on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. After a break early next week, additional storms are expected during the latter part of the week, with Whistler and the Coast Range seeing a more favorable pattern compared to the current storm.
